Ginger Signs A New Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan

Mumbai, August 22, 2019: Ginger is pleased to announce the signing of a new hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. This will be the second Ginger hotel in the state.  

Deepika Rao, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ginger said, “We are happy to partner with Alka Group of Hotels for the development of a hotel in the heart of Udaipur city. With the addition of this hotel, Ginger is foraying into one of Rajasthan’s most beautiful cities, Udaipur which has a huge potential for tourism.”  

Ginger Udaipur is located at a short distance from the famous City Palace and Lake Pichola. The hotel will offer 96 well-appointed rooms, an all-day diner and bar, a banquet hall and fitness centre. The hotel is a fully fitted lease and is slated to open in early 2022. 

Udaipur, known as the “City of Lakes” is a tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. Its economy is primarily driven by tourism, though minerals, marble processing, chemicals, electronics and the handicraft industry are also contributors.

With the signing of this hotel, The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), will have 15 hotels across its brands in the state of Rajasthan.
